New Cloverleaf Radio Logo by simplemanAT
New Cloverleaf Radio Logo
This new logo I created using the current edition of Illustrator.  I wanted the logo to have the feel of something classic to it.  So I made sure I gave the cloverleaf image the illusion that it was made from a vinyl record and a classic microphone.  The font (lettering) is still the same from a previous version of the logo.  Instead of a raised bevel effect on the font, I decided to streamline it.

All in All the gang at Cloverleaf Radio is very happy with it.

My Military Path by simplemanAT
My Military Path
This is an updated version of a previous deviation I did while in the military.  Since I'm no longer in I figured a better on should be made.  :)

The following gives the explanation of this deviation.

This represents my time in the US Air Force (USAF). In other words the "path" I followed, and the "Icons" that represented each point along that path. I searched for images of these characters or "Icons", because if I tried to re-draw this; it would have taken me forever.

Each "Icon" represents each squadron I worked during my time in the USAF.

The group of three at the top of the path, represent the beginning.  In particular, all of my training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX.

First is Colossus. He represents the main basic training unit I was in...the 320th TRS.  The Demon to Colossus' right, represented the actual section of the squadron I was in, Flight 419/Section 3 aka "The Furnance".  To Colossus' left, is the Iron Eagle. He represented the 345th TRS. That squadron is where I learned my job specialty/career field.

The next two represented deployments I was a part of.

Clawful (the crab man) represented the 506th ELRS, located at Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq.  Also known as KRAB (pronounced crab).  This was also my 1st deployment.

The Bulldog represented my 2nd deployment.  He was know as the "Port Dawg". He represented 728 AMS located at Incirlik AB, Turkey. Also, "Port Dawg" is the universal nickname for someone in my career field.

And last but not least, the Bald Eagle. He represented my "Home" squadron, the 62d APS located at McChord AFB. The nickname for my "Home" squadron is the "Eagle Port".  He is at the end of my path, because home is where I always wanted to get back too.

Well there are the "steps" on my "military path" and needless to say, it was an interesting journey.
